John Mossey has been building Egli-Vincent replica for many years under the business names of John Mossey Restoration (JMR) and John Mossey Classics (JMC). In between the business changed ownership and became Hailwood Motorcycle Restorations (HMR) (3-4) led by David Hailwood. Since 2006 John Mossey proposes Egli-Vincent replicas (2) along with a modern interpretation of the NorVin.

Probably a unique bike, as HMR went bankrupt within a few months. This exhaust pipe is typical to all JMR bikes from which the HMR was derivate.

The latest JMC are available in 998 and 1200cc, note the new exhaust design which open the timing chest. (Document John Mossey)

The Norvin proposed by JMC with full frame, opposed to the earliest models having a structured engine. (Document John Mossey)

A bit of background. Andy Sidlow has been proposing for a few years Egli-Vincent frames that were inspired from the “Shadow 70” design (Slater). It would be interesting to reconnect with him. If anyone has contact details, please contact the administrator at 998@egli-vincent.net

Andy Sidlow built a couple of frames for laverda specials, one a twin and the other a triple. Both look great. The owner of the twin said Andy was moving to New Zealand. This was circa 2013.
